Amelia's PlaceDescriptionThe hotel, opened in 1923 with an A&P Supermarket on the first floor was renewed in 2000 and became apartments. Amelia has two apartments: one for her and one for her guests.
Three minutes from the Convention Center and City Hall, less than a third of a mile from the Cedars Light rail station which stops at the Convention Center and links with the Trinity Railway Express that takes tourists on to DFW Airport and Fort Worth. Besides, Amelia’s Place is on three bus lines taking you to all interesting places in the city.
Amelia makes a breakfast so fine and so big (a specialty is buttermilk biscuits) that you can not eat lunch! You may organize to take potluck meal with Amelia for a few bucks if you want to. There are, on the other hand, some locations in the neighborhood where you can get tasty, low-priced food: Standard and Pours Coffee House, the Southside Grill, and Lee Harvey’s Bar and Eatery are all within steps. Or you can go to Main Street and have meal at fancier and more expensive places.
Of course, the Amelia's Place is totally furnished apartment with all modern facilities.
