Corinthian Bed & BreakfastThe Corinthian Bed and Breakfast staff will welcome you to the award-winning Junius Street property and residence built in 1905. You will fall in love with the spectacular original hardwood inlaid flooring and original wood paneling. The fine antique furnishings throughout the house will fill you with a sense of awe and take you back in time to life in the early 1900’s. After the death of Mrs. Franks’, the owner of the ouse, at the age of 92, Craig Penfold purchased the property on April 1, 2001. Dan Tucker assisted Mr. Penfold in restoring the house to reflect the original design and grandeur. The woodwork has been stripped, stained and returned to its original beauty. The pocket doors were reworked and the fireplace in the Formal Parlor has been restored. The renovation resulted in the creation of a Bed and Breakfast, one of only four in Dallas. “The Corinthian” was the only suitable name for the Bed and Breakfast because of the beautiful Corinthian columns across the front porch. These columns, the most ornate of the fine classical orders, are characterized by a slender, fluted column, having a bell-shaped capital decorated with acanthus leaves. The Corinthian Bed and Breakfast is perfect for the romantic and private getaway as well. Whether your visit is for pleasure or business or some of both, you will not be disappointed. If you want to host special events or have the perfect place for group and family gatherings, the Corinthian is the setting for you. Your stay at The Corinthian Bed and Breakfast will be surely memorable, relaxing and fun.
