Big Bend River ToursDescriptionThe Big Bend Rivertrips are conveniently located near several motels, restaurants, stores and gas stations and only 3 miles from the western entrance to Big Bend National Park. It is the oldest full service outfitter, proposing journeys by canoe, raft, kayak, van or jeep, on foot, and with combination trips, on horse as well. It prefers to operate ONLY in the Big Bend.
These guided rafting trips, canoe trips, guided hikes and back roads tours are made to give you knowledge about the regions history, geology, wildlife and plant life through the expertise of the skillful guides. Combination trips involve the union of a river trip, guided hike, or back roads expedition. Horseback trips can be organized through the local stables as combination trips also. Individual shuttles and equipment rentals can be booked to provide a wider variety of options for those who would better "go it on their own".

DirectionsFrom Alpine, follow Hwy. 118 south 78 miles till you reach the junction of Hwy. 170 and turn west. The Big Bend Outfitters is situated next to Terlingua Auto Service, less then a quarter of a mile from the junction, on the North (right hand side) of the road.
