Grace Manor Bed & BreakfastDescriptionBuilt in 1905, the charming Grace Manor boasts rare stained glass, unusual woodwork and breathtaking antiques. Luxurious amenities are seamlessly harmonized with Victorian grace. Situated in Galveston's East End Historic District, Grace Manor is recognized as one of the top architectural constructions on the Island and is the ideal setting for that special event, social function, or romantic getaway.
Beautiful stained glass is a symbol of the house. The entry doors and transom demonstrate an oleander motif, while the dining room features a wonderful grape arbor design. Particular crown moldings and crystal chandeliers add to the luxury of the rooms. The impressive staircase of Philippine mahogany leads to the guest room level and is overlooked by two double hung, magnificent stained glass windows on the interior walls. The doors are all of long leaf pine, and there are old-time push button light switches in many of the rooms. The four guest rooms are charmingly furnished, all with king beds and beautiful antiques.
Needless to say, that the breakfast is a delightful feast, served in the splendid dining room with candlelight and soft music. Visitors are enjoying with a full gourmet fare of seasonal fresh fruits, homemade breads, casseroles and quiche, breakfast meats, and vegetables.
