At that time, different groups began working together to make a children's museum in San Antonio real. Since opening its doors in September of 1995, more than three-quarters of a million tourists have visited the over 80 educationally and culturally based exhibits.
San Antonio's children's museum proposes a huge, imaginative introduction to the city for the small and adults alike. San Antonio history, population, and traditions are all explored through such things as a small River Walk, a multicultural grocery shop, a bank where children can utilize their own ATM, and even a compact dentist's room, bringing more fun than one could imagine. Activities vary from crawl spaces and corn-grinding rocks to a weather station and radar room. Don't miss this place if you're traveling with children up to age 10.
