Double Spear Stables New BraunfelsDescriptionDouble Spear Stables is a 70 acre horse facility conveniently situated in the heart of New Braunfels, TX, just 40 miles south of Austin, 30 miles north of San Antonio, and just minutes from historic Gruene, TX. Its main goal is to provide a safe first class facility that meets all your needs. It is fitted with a 24 hour security gate, yet has a "come and go" philosophy when you want to tend to, come or ride your horse. The totally professional staff offers different services at competitive rates that include boarding, grooming, full care, and/or training for your horse as well as riding lessons, pony lessons and trail rides.
All the novice riders are taught the "Secure Seat" method evolved by the AAHS (The American Association for Horsemanship Safety). The purpose of this method is to "teach a deep, balanced seat as quickly as possible," therefore reducing primness in the back and legs. Skills are taught through a series of gradual exercises that are measurable and allow the instructor to know when the rider is ready to advance.
