Cedar Breaks National MonumentDescriptionIf you appreciate panoramic vistas and dramatic scenery, you'll love Cedar Breaks National Monument. A huge natural amphitheater has been eroded out of the Pink Cliffs near Cedar City, Utah. Millions of years of geologic processes have created a deep canyon of rock walls, fins, spires and columns. The rim of the canyon is over 10,000 feet above sea level, and it is forested with subalpine firs and aspens. They make a picturesque contrast with yellow and red canyon walls. Popular activities in the Monument include hiking, photography, nature study, picnicking, and camping.
