Experience Music Project MuseumDescriptionExperience Music Project (EMP) was funded by Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen. It was designed by avant-garde architect Frank Gehry, who is famous for pushing the envelope of architectural design. Experience Music Project Museum houses the world's largest collection of Jimi Hendrix memorabilia, as well as a gallery of guitars once owned by Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, Kurt Cobain, and the bands Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and the Kingsmen. The most popular exhibits at the museum here (after the Jimi Hendrix room) are the interactive rooms, where visitors can play guitars, drums, keyboards, or even DJ turntables.
