Woodland Park ZooDescriptionLocated in north Seattle, only minutes from busy downtown, Woodland Park Zoo is home to animals from Alaska, tropical Asia, the African savanna, and the tropical rainforest. It was voted as one of the ten best zoos in the United States. One of the zoo's best exhibits, the brown-bear enclosure, recreates an Alaskan stream and hillside. In the savanna, zebras gambol and giraffes stroll near a reproduction of an African village. Among other attractions there are seasonal pony rides, snakes and flesh-eating piranhas. There's also a large walk-through butterfly house during the summer months.
