The resort has unique location known for cool temperatures, long winters, and rich natural snowfall. Over 150 inches of natural snow falls on the mountain each season, and consistent winter temperatures provide great snow making weather from November through March. And the north-facing slopes at Timberline retain snow like no other mountain in the region.
The Mountain Biking Center at Timberline provides scenic trails winding through woodlands for beginners, to more strenuous climbs and descents for the experienced rider. Chairlift service provides quick access to the mountain's peak, great views of the Canaan Valley and easy entry to the Monongahela National Forest.
This is by far one of the nicest resorts in the OH/PA/WV ski area. Friendliness and intimacy of this resort far exceeds it's size.
If you are looking for a great place for a group, they offer fantasic ski in/ski out homes that accommodate large groups. While there are only 2 lifts, they will service all terrains. For beginners, the Salamander run provides a 2 mi run, and allows them to gain confidence and skills.
If you are looking for a destination, head to Snowshoe, but if you are looking for something more intimate, where all of your skiers and "want to be skiers" can share and experience together without getting lost, this place is perfect!
