Wisconsin Historical Museum

Description

Located on Madison's Capitol Square, the museum offers numerous exhibitions, telling about the State's rich history and culture. Visitors explore Wisconsin's distinctive heritage and history from prehistoric times to present day through artifacts, photographs, audio-visual presentations, full-scale dioramas, and interactive multimedia programs. The Anthropology collection is the highlight of the museum. It contains about 3500 objects from many North American cultural areas, primarily from the Upper Great Lakes region.

Adults: $4
Children under 18: $3
Family: $10

Operating Hours

Tuesday through Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed Sunday and Monday.
Closed Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
