 The Largest Cow is perched higher steep hill rising above the city of New Salem. Salem Sue can be seen for 5 miles. Built in 1974, this tremendous cow stands as a memorial to the area's dairy farmers, their huge herds, and the production of high quality milk.

 The Crane is as large as 40 feet in height and 4.5 tons in weight. This Beast is quite evasive to the usual tourist. It looks like a standing guard over the Lone Steer Motel/Cafe/Lounge just outside the city. It was completed in 1999.
